Menteri Perumahan dan Kawasan Permukiman Maruarar Sirait menyatakan pemerintah bakal menyiapkan sekitar 2.700 rumah bagi para penyintas erupsi Gunung Lewotobi Laki-Laki, Flores Timur, Nusa Tenggara Timur.
“Kami siapkan sampai 2.700 rumah,” ujar Maruarar Sirait usai menggelar Rapat Tingkat Menteri di Kemenko PMK, Jakarta, Rabu.
Maruarar mengatakan pembangunan hunian tetap itu akan dilakukan apabila sejumlah aspek seperti izin kehutanan, infrastruktur, keamanan, dan geologi tuntas dibahas dan dipetakan.
Pembangunan hunian tetap itu, kata dia, akan memerlukan waktu sekitar 5,5 bulan. Pemerintah saat ini tengah memetakan wilayah mana saja yang akan menjadi lokasi pembangunan hunian tersebut.
“Bangunan untuk rumah sudah siap kami jalankan, tinggal manajemen waktu, diorkestrasi dengan sangat baik oleh Pak Menko Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan (Pratikno),” ujar dia.
Bahkan, kata dia, penyiapan dan pembuatan bahan baku pembangunan akan memaksimalkan sumber daya yang ada di sekitar masyarakat di Flores Timur. Dengan demikian, sekaligus akan menyediakan lapangan kerja bagi masyarakat sekitar/penyintas.
“Bahkan nanti kita juga siap untuk membuatnya (bahan baku) di situ. Sehingga nanti bisa membuat pekerjaan-pekerjaan bagi masyarakat yang ada di situ juga. Kita lagi hitung kesiapan itu,” ujar dia.
Ia menjelaskan proses relokasi penyintas ke tempat hunian baru ini melalui pendekatan dialog. Masyarakat akan diajak berdiskusi apakah bersedia di relokasi ke tempat baru atau ada opsi lain yang mereka inginkan.
“Karena ini memindahkan bukan hanya rumah, tetapi kehidupan. Itu sudah ada yang puluhan tahun tinggal di situ, bahkan ratusan tahun. Kemudian dekat dengan gerejanya, dekat dengan pasar, dekat dengan sekolah. Kita tidak pakai pendekatan top-down, tapi dialog,” ka
