Himpunan Alumni (HA) IPB University menggelar program Future Agile Leader Program (FALP) 2024, sebagai wadah memfasilitasi pengembangan kepemimpinan di kalangan pemuda, serta memberi kesempatan pemenang program masuk ke universitas tersebut tanpa tes.
Ketua DPP HA IPB Walneg S. Jas di Kota Bogor, Sabtu, menjelaskan program ini ditujukan bagi Badan Pengurus Harian OSIS dan perwakilan ekstrakurikuler SMA dari seluruh Indonesia.
Ia menyebut, FALP bertujuan mengasah karakter kepemimpinan yang empati, adaptif, inovatif, dan kolaboratif. Pemenang program juga berkesempatan mendapatkan kesempatan untuk menjadi mahasiswa/i IPB University tanpa tes.
“Ini bagian dari kontribusi kita sebagai impunan alumni terhadap bangsa ini mempersiapkan calon-calon pemimpin muda. Di acara puncaknya, dipilih 15 orang untuk mendapatkan golden ticket masuk IPB tanpa tes,” kata Walneg.
Ia menyebutkan, rangkaian kegiatan yang dilaksanakan terdiri dari mentoring bersama dengan mentee HA IPB, proyek sosial, leadership camp, dan diakhiri dengan kegiatan Awarding Best Young Leaders sebagai acara puncaknya.
Di acara puncak tersebut, Walneg mengatakan, diumumkan peserta mana saja yang mendapatkan golden ticket tersebut. Dari FALP tahun lalu, ada 15 orang yang mendapatkan kesempatan tersebut.
Ini sekarang saya sedang berdiskusi dengan IPB barangkali bisa kita tambahkan menjadi 20,” ujarnya.
Walneg mengatakan, FALP 2024 akan digelar mulai November 2024 hingga Januari 2025. Ditargetkan tahun ini peserta FALP mencapai 5.000 orang dari seluruh Indonesia.
Wakil Rektor Bidang Pendidikan dan Kemahasiswaan di IPB University, Prof Deni Noviana mengatakan lewat FALP, IPB ingin mencari calon pemimpin bangsa dan talenta yang terbaik.
“Lewat program ini kami juga berusaha mengentaskan berbagai macam kesulitan yang dialami masyarakat dan memberikan akses pendidikan pada mereka yang membutuhkan,” ucapnya.
